Lost Property - James Maloney
From the outside, Josh's life looks perfect. He's in a band, has a girlfriend and enjoys school. His family appears to have their act together but has been falling apart since his older brother disappeared two years before. The title of the book sums up the things that are lost in Josh's life. Not only has he lost his own sense of meaning but he has to deal with his "lost" brother as well. A thoughtful novel with an upbeat ending.

Great rear about a guy who has an unusual summer job, in lost property at the Train station. From the out side his life might seem perfect with former famous rugby player dad, and money but it is far from it the more you read the more you want to read.

i found the book lost property a very good book. its about a 17 year old boy named josh, he works in a lost property office on the holidays, is in a band and has a girlfriend but what looks like a great life josh's family is secretly falling apart sense the departure of his brother 2 years ago. the book follows the thoughts of josh and how he goes through a tough time trying to find his brother, keep his family together, have feelings for another girl and start to get obsesed with finding lost property for those people who may think its special.

This book is a great read and I encourage others to give it a go, Josh is a normal teenage who at the start of the movie is in a band with good friends and a great girl friend but at home its a different story and so he sets out to fix it all up. This book is one that you can't put down and I if you do it leaves you wanting more!

It's a good book. It is about a guy who has a job, is in a band and has a girlfriend. He has a brother but he was kicked out of the house for doing drugs. He also has a sister who is younger than him. His name is Josh and works at a lost property, a train station.

The book was really good. It's about a guy 'Josh.' He's in a band, has a girlfriend but he's family has never been the same since he's brother walked out 2 years ago. During the summer holidays Josh got a job at the Lost property office. Where he found a clue to his brothers where abouts. So he went looking. On his way he was mugged and slept in the streets, but he eventually found his brother. He had a good life, a wife and a baby on the way. Its a good book and I recommend it.

Lost property is a really goode book i enjoyed it heaps. If ant body is wanting toread a book but doesn't know what to read, read this one!

Lost property is a really good book. I wasn't sure whether I would like it, but i did. I recommend it to any one who is in to teen book books.

It is an awesome book. It's about a guy who has everything but he's still not happy. From an outsiders view it looks like his life is perfect but there is a lot more going on then what it seems. His brother won't come home, he's starting to like someone other than his girlfriend, and is having trouble with his singing in his band. and his family is starting to fall apart. But in the end everything works out so don't worry. His brother was asked to leave home because he was getting mixed up in bad things but Josh visits him and his fiancee so its all good. It's an awesome book and i recomend it to anyone who likes books. =D

i think that the book was really good it had all the things in it that would appeal to younger and older readers. it has a good biggening middle and end. the only thing about the book that is not as good as the rest is that the end sort of just ends and dosen't explain what happens that well.

17 yr old Josh Tambling seemingly has a perfect life. He gets good grades, has a girlfriend, lead singer in a band and has a good relation ship whith the family.

Josh has a burden though. Micheal was the troublesome older brother that disappered over differences with their parents. Micheals departure slowly affecting their family life.

It was in his unusual summer job (working at lost property) that josh geta a clue to his brothers whereabouts. Determinded to find him and Josh sets out on a journey.

I really loved this book. The writing was brilliantly crafted. I indentified with Josh's pain, range of emotion he felt as he delved deeper into his journey of discovery. Josh and I discovered that things/ situation weren't always what they seem on the outside.

All James Moloney's works are a treat to read and this one is no different! A great read

'Lost Property' was a really well put together book. It covered many issues such as coping with loss, growing up, and coping with many of the issues that face teenagers these days. It was an enjoyable read, and basically impossible to put down. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking to read something.

The book Lost property written by James Moloney is a very interesting book with many different and creative twists involved.
The Book begins with Josh's who is the main character having a good life on the outside, with a great girlfriend and good mates and he is also in a band. But while everything seems all good, at home it is a much different story.
His brother Michael had left home a long time ago and no one new where he was, he would call home every now and then but would only talk to josh but would never say where he was and if josh's parents tried to talk to him, he would just hang up.
So one night josh comes home to find his mother crying and then he knows its time to go find his brother and bring him home. But little does he no the surprises in store.
It is a great book and I encourage everyone to give it ago, but it’s probably a better read for teens! It’s a mystery/ romance/ adventure all in one. So please give it a go.

the book was really good to read and deserves the reccomendation that it got to be one of the books in bookweek. josh has a good life, a girlfriend, he is in a band and also has a part time job at the lost property office. but his life isnt all that it seems his bro went missing 2 years ago and josh thinks that it is his job to find him. his mum is having an emotional breakdown, while his father is trying to keep the family together and his sister is going about life as normal. so the book shows that hiding under everything dosen't get anything sorted out and that you should always tell the people around you what you are thinking.

I liked the book and wouldn’t mind reading it again.

Lost Property is a book about a guy called josh. Josh is your average teenager he has a job at the lost property office, has a girlfriend and plays in a band. A few years ago Joshs older brother Michael was kicked out of home for doing drugs in his bedroom. All ties between michael and his family are cut except for anonymous calls to josh. During his time at the lost property office josh sees a picture with his brother in the background. Michael then decides to go out and search for his brother. It is an excellent story that is sure to have the readers attention on every page.

This book is not just about a random guy's perfect looking life. It also explored on a lot of choices and stages that many adoslecent has to go through.Throughout the book, the author, James Moloney kept the audience in the dark, allowing the readers to imagine what comes next. I also liked the way he portrayed his story to suit the thinking of modern adolescents. The changes that Josh goes through in the story was significant and draws out the real story behind his facade.
